On Monday, the Spanish giants announced that the 25-year-old had signed a five-year deal in Madrid after his departure from the Ligue 1 champions.
Mbappe said joining Real was a lifelong dream of his moments after his move was confirmed, and discussed his feelings more on Tuesday in a press conference while on international duty.
The France captain opened up on his final months in Paris and caused a storm when he claimed the club told him he would not play again after his decision to run down his contract.
"I was made to understand that I would no longer play for PSG," he said, according to Get French Football News.
"I was told right to my face, and quite violently, so I was convinced that I wasn't going to play.
"Luis Enrique and Luis Campos saved me. Without them, I would never have stepped on to the pitch again."
In response to his comments, AFP has reported a source at the French club has accused Mbappe of having "no class" and that president "Nasser Al-Khelaifi has never dictated any decision regarding the team".
