The 25-year-old's arrival at the Spanish giants was finally announced by the club on Monday night, a move that brings an end to his seven-year spell at Paris Saint-Germain.
Mbappe has penned a five-year deal at this season's LALIGA and European champions following the club's long pursuit of his signature, but will only be unveiled at the Santiago Bernabeu after the 2024 UEFA European Championship.
Taking to social media moments after Real's announcement, Mbappe admitted that joining Real has been a lifelong dream of his.
"A dream come true, so happy and proud to join the club of my dreams," he wrote on social media.
"Nobody can understand how excited I am right now. Can't wait to see you, Madridistas, and thanks for your unbelievable support. Hala Madrid!"
While unconfirmed at this point, Mbappe is expected to wear the No. 9 jersey at Los Blancos, with Vinicius Junior currently the holder of the No. 7 jersey and the No. 10 belonging to Luka Modric.
