With two months left of the calendar year, here are the 10 stars in Europe's top five leagues with the most contributions to goals in 2019. Superstars Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo headline the list, along with several other Ballon d'Or nominees.

It has been another terrific year for FC Barcelona's record goalscorer and captain Messi, who leads the way in goal contributions for the year.
Having recorded 35 goals and a further 14 assists, the 32-year-old Argentine has been involved in 49 goals in 2019 so far, but he has another in-form striker breathing down his neck.
Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski is that player, with the Poland international contributing to 46 strikes for the German giants so far this year. The 31-year-old appears to be in the best form of his career, and might be hoping to add plenty more to his tally before the end of 2019.

Kylian Mbappe, 20, is the youngest player in the top 10, having amassed a total of 42 goal involvements so far. The Paris Saint-Germain attacker's 30 goals and 12 assists puts him in third place, three ahead of Juventus talisman Ronaldo.
With 26 strikes and 13 assists to his name in 2019 at this point in time, Ronaldo has played a part in 39 goals for Juventus since January, just one more goal contribution than Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling.
