The Portugal captain attempted five shots during his side's 3-2 defeat at Sevilla on Sunday, but only one hit the target – two were blocked and two didn't trouble the goal.
One particular incident summed up Ronaldo's game: Real had just won possession from Sevilla inside the opposition half and were in a threatening position. However, when the ball came to the Pichichi winner, he decided to take a shot instead of passing to the better-positioned Modric, who was free in Sevilla's box.
The Croatian midfielder's annoyance was clear as he gesticulated his frustrations, although Ronaldo had turned away at this point and therefore didn't take any notice.
It's not the first time his teammates have been upset with the club's superstar – Marca had previously reported that a few of Real's stars are beginning to question some of Ronaldo's decisions on the field of play.
Sevilla remains the 30-year-old's favourite hunting ground, with the attacker having scored 11 goals on their pitch, but on Sunday he drew his seventh blank in just 11 league matches this season.
The Portuguese talisman's influence on the game seems to have scaled down as he has been struggling to reach his own heights under manager Rafa Benitez. It remains to be seen whether age is taking its toll on Ronaldo or whether the new system under Benitez is influencing his performances.
