The Argentine was famously set up by Ronaldinho for his first senior goal for FC Barcelona, and he is now part of a record-breaking attacking trio with Neymar and Luis Suarez.
During a sponsor event for Huawei, he touched on his great understanding with Brazilians in particular.
"Brazilian players are always different, they have lots of quality. I get along well on the field with them, Ronaldinho or Neymar," he said, as quoted by Sport.
"A good relationship, not just between the front three, but the entire dressing room, and humility are the foundations of our success.
"Barca don't just depend on the three up front. We have plenty of depth in our squad and we're so much more than just three players."
Messi also insisted he is not interested in breaking records; instead, he is looking forward to lifting more silverware with club and country this season.
"We aren't interested in the record. We just want to win silverware, which is what's important. If the records come, that's great," he added.
"My goal is to always win everything I compete for, whether with Barca or Argentina. This year's Copa America is a great opportunity,"
