The 24-year-old is yet to live up to his full potential at Los Blancos, and has even been linked with a move away from the club.
Some Madrid fans would probably not be too sad if he left, though – it was previously revealed that he named his dog after Real superstar Cristiano Ronaldo's biggest rival.
"Messi is the best in the world and so is my dog," Isco said in 2013, ahead of his move to the Madrid club from Malaga.
The quotes saw him get into some hot water when he joined Real, and he has now slightly changed his side of the story.
"I have to say, in my favour, that calling the dog Messi was more my brother and dad's idea than mine," he explained on Spanish television, as quoted by the Daily Mirror.
"I'm cleaning my hands with it (the naming of the dog). I'm a Madridista, and that's that.
"I don't walk him anymore. Imagine me calling him Messi in the streets."

Isco has made 42 appearances in all competitions for Los Blancos this season, during which he scored five goals and assisted a further 12 strikes.
