Julen Lopetegui's side is currently more than 600 minutes without a goal – the club's worst scoring run since 1985.
Former Real boss Fabio Capello has now insisted his old club should sign Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi as a replacement for the departed Ronaldo.
"I am a fan of Icardi. If I was Real Madrid, I would sign him immediately," he told Radio Rai, as quoted by AS.
"He is a specialist in the penalty area, like Cristiano Ronaldo was during his later time at Madrid.
"He is a player who sees and feels the goal. He knows how to move in the area in a way few others do.
"If you play three balls into him, he will hit all three."

Icardi, who was part of Barca's famous La Masia youth academy, has scored 112 goals in 190 appearances for Inter so far, and was heavily linked with a switch to Real in the previous transfer window.
