Former Mamelodi Sundowns manager Hristo Stoichkov expects FC Barcelona star Neymar to lift the Ballon d'Or trophy as a Blaugrana player.
How Does Neymar Compare To 24-Year-Old Messi?
Stoichkov, who joined Barcelona in 1990, was part of the "Dream Team" that won four consecutive La Liga titles and one UEFA Champions League in the 1991/92 campaign.
The Bulgarian has backed the fromer Santos star to follow in his footsteps and earn individual accolades while at the Camp Nou.
"I think Neymar will win a Ballon d'Or with the Barca shirt, he will not be another Judas," Stoichkov told Marca.
"He's a smart guy, knows this is his team."
Neymar has been linked with a move to the Premier League at the end of this season, and it's believed Manchester United and Manchester City are the frontrunners for his signature.
The former Bulgaria captain also shared his opinion on Pep Guardiola moving to the Citizens next season.
"It's an important step for Guardiola, a chance for him to enjoy the experience of another league and see how it turns out," he added.
