In a recent clip that went viral on social media, the Welshman said his former colleague would be incredibly upset when he would finish a match without a goal.
Bale's comments seemed to lead to many believe there had been a rift between himself and Ronaldo, but the since retired winger has looked to make it clear that he never had any personal issues with the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.
In an interview with The Times, the former Tottenham Hotspur man insisted that Ronaldo's presence at the Spanish giants influenced his decision to join the club in 2013.
"I never had a single problem with Ronaldo or anybody at Real Madrid," he said.
"I don't think I had an argument with anyone. Even through the hard times, it was good in the changing room.
"I really enjoyed my time there apart from a few moments where it was difficult on the pitch. I have no regrets. I made the right decision.
"Cristiano and Benzema were big reasons why I joined Madrid, to play with them and the others like Modric, Alonso and later, Toni Kroos.
"I never wanted to be a Galactico. I just wanted to play and then disappear into the dark."
