The Frenchman was asked who he believes the best player in the world is, and instead of choosing the Portuguese forward or the Catalan club's superstar, he said that Paris Saint-Germain's Argentinian midfielder is the best.
"For me, the best player in the world is Javier Pastore," he told the Express.
"I watched two PSG games just to see him play.
"He has something special. Football is an interactive game and Pastore always has the ability to surprise.
"Nothing special, no, but fantastic passes. He is the most creative player in the world. I love this kind of player."
The 25-year-old Argentine, who recently scored his first goal for his country, joined the French club in 2011 for a fee of £36 million.
