Ronaldo, meanwhile, is football's top earner and receives an annual salary of £33.8 million, according to reports.
The Association of Accounting Technicians (ATT) has calculated rugby's 10 top earners and only one of them, England's Sam Burgess, is not playing in France.
There is also a massive difference in TV deals for rugby and football.
While rugby's richest league, the French Top 14, has a TV deal with Canal+ of just under £60 million per year, football's richest league outclasses this deal.

Last year, the English Premier League agreed a new three-year deal with Sky and BT Sports worth a whopping £5.14 billion.
