Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid superstars Neymar and Gareth Bale have been making headlines in recent weeks over their potential transfers, but remarkable details of their respective injury records have now been revealed.

Both Neymar, formerly of FC Barcelona, and Bale arrived in Spain in 2013, but have been rocked by a spate of injuries since, and Spanish publication Marca has conducted research to determine just how much time the two stars have spent on the sidelines.
The PSG forward, who has been strongly linked with a return to the Catalan giants, has suffered 19 injuries between 2013 and 2019, and spent a total of 435 days in the medical room.

No fewer than seven of the blows suffered by the Brazilian international relate to his ankle/foot, which hints at the possibility of an underlying problem, while he has also suffered numerous muscular injuries to his thigh, groin and hamstrings.
Similarly, Bale has suffered an incredible 23 injuries since joining Los Blancos, which has seen him sidelined for a total of 410 days. The Welsh star's woes have been mostly muscular, having suffered eight calf injuries and a further six to his hamstring/thigh region.

The research also indicated that Bale generally suffers his injuries midway through the season before recovering to towards the back-end of the campaign, while the timing of Neymar's knocks were less predictable.
