The Portuguese has received some criticism for his display against the Rossoneri in the second leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final last Thursday, during which he missed a penalty and lost possession quite cheaply.
Ex-Juve captain Del Piero believes the five-time Ballon d'Or is just lacking match sharpness, though.
"Some are better off physically, it's understandable," he told Sky Sport.

"He's very experienced and I don't think a missed penalty will hurt him, but it's clearly annoying.
"He has moved well, although he had moments with errors in simple things; he will grow in time. Some people are better off physically than he is, that's understandable.
"It's been three months since they've played, and now they're coming back without fans and already with a decisive knockout tie.
"It was all very difficult after a unique historical period. He had his weight on the game."
Ronaldo has played 33 matches across all competitions so far this season, scoring 25 goals and assisting a further four strikes.
