Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata came through Real's academy, but felt he had to move away from the Spanish club in order to further his career. The 25-year-old joined the Old Lady from Los Blancos for €20 million (R356 million) in 2014, and returned to Madrid two years later, before being sold to the Blues.
Argentina international Gonzalo Higuain is another who has had the honour of playing for both European giants. At the age of 19, the Spanish side snapped up the forward from River Plate for €12 million (R213 million), and more than 200 appearances later, he was sold to Napoli, before earning himself a move to the Bianconeri in 2016.
Another legend who played for both teams is former Italy international Fabio Cannavaro. The centre-back was arguably the world's best defender during his time at Juve, so it was no surprise when he made the move to the 13-time UEFA Champions League winners in 2006.
Former Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane played for the Serie A club in the mid-1990s before becoming a "Galactico" at the Santiago Bernabeu. The Frenchman's move to Spain was a world record at the time, one that has since been eclipsed.
