The Red Devils have lost four of their opening seven matches in the new league campaign, their worst such run since the inception of the EPL as we know it today.
On Tuesday, however, they will get a rest from domestic duties as they look to get their first victory in this season's UEFA Champions League when they take on Turkish giants Galatasaray.
Despite their horrendous league form, four-time Champions League winner Varane has insisted that the Mancunians are good enough to triumph at Wembley Stadium come the end of the season, but added that their forwards need to be more ruthless.
"[The Champions League] is about details and you have to be efficient to win the competition," the Frenchman claimed ahead of Tuesday night's clash, as per the Daily Mail.
"In the last moments, we need more efficiency.
"It is a low number of occasions we concede goals and we need to create a lot to score. That is the reality of the top level.
"You need to be efficient to win trophies. We have the quality in the squad to win competitions. We have to move forward and improve."
The record English champions were defeated 4-3 by Bayern Munich in the opening matchday of European football's premier club competition this season.

With a return to Old Trafford for this matchday, manager Erik ten Hag will be hoping they can gain a victory like the club did in their previous home encounter against the Super Lig side, when they won 1-0 courtesy of a Michael Carrick goal 11 years ago.
