Recent reports suggest that Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic is set to join the Red Devils on 1 January after falling down the pecking order at his current club.
New Bianconeri coach Maurizio Sarri did not include the Croatian in his UEFA Champions League group stage squad for the 2019/20 campaign, and is understood to be keen to get him off the club's wage bill.
United were reportedly after the 33-year-old during the previous window, but opted against signing him due to his advanced age.

However, their recent injury crisis up front and their worst start to a Premier League campaign in 30 years have seemingly changed the minds of the Red Devils' leadership.
Although Mandzukic will likely be available for a cut-price fee, he expects to earn similar to his current Juventus salary, said to be £200 000 (R3.8 million) a week, according to The Sun.
That amount would put him among the top earners at Old Trafford, with only David de Gea, Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial receiving more.
