According to The Guardian, midfielder and captain Bruno Fernandes is feeling undervalued by the Red Devils amid uncertainty surrounding his future.
The report claims the 29-year-old Portugal international wants to earn a similar wage to that of Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Casemiro.
He is believed to be pushing for a bumper new deal at Old Trafford, with rumours suggesting his long-term future at United remains unresolved.
Ahead of the team's FA Cup final win over Manchester City last month, it was said Fernandes was being courted by Bayern Munich and teams in Saudi Arabia.
It is further claimed the ex-Sporting Lisbon man is looking for clarity over Erik ten Hag's future at the club before deciding to extend his deal or move on.
The midfielder is currently under contract in England until June 2026.
Fernandes reportedly earns £220 000 (R5.2 million) a week, with Rashford being paid £365 000 (R8.7 million) weekly.
