A Marseille supporter has revealed the incidents which lead to former Manchester United left back Patrice Evra lashing out at one of his own club's fans.
Angry Evra Sent Off After Kicking Fan
The 36-year-old was sent off before his side's UEFA Europa League clash with Portuguese outfit Vitoria de Guimaraes in Portugal on Thursday evening, where they lost 1-0.
According to French publication L'Equipe, the defender initially reacted to the taunts by kicking a ball in the direction of the French side's supporters, claim which has now been backed up by a fan was reportedly close to the action.
"At the start of the warm-up, there was no net, and he was sending balls into the stands, the Marseille fans told RMC Sport.
"He could not find the net. It's not complicated for a professional player. He did not apologise. It got everyone a bit angry.
"I will not say the words because it's a bit vulgar, but he hit back by insulting the mothers of the fans.
"So naturally, we, the Marseille fans, we are a little angry.
"It does not excuse the behaviour of the supporter, but it excuses even less the act of Patrice Evra to kick him in the head."

It is unlikely that Evra will play for the Ligue club again this season, but has made nine appearances for the first team so far.
