It appears that Marseille supporters do not want Evra to return to their club after last week's drama, during which he lashed out at a fan who had reportedly been verbally abusing him during the team's warm-up prior to their UEFA Europa League clash against Vitoria de Guimaraes.
On Friday, the club announced Evra would be suspended from all football activity until further notice, but fans had their say this weekend when Marseille took on Caen at the Stade Velodrome.
Sections of the crowd held up banners to denounce Evra's actions, but the 36-year-old sent a message to the "Real Marseille fans" via his Instagram account, thanking them for the support they have given him.
UEFA also announced on Friday that the player would be banned for at least one match, and that there will be another ruling this coming Friday.
One banner at their stadium read "This game is over", while another read "You thought you were bigger than the club and the fans. We don't want you in our colours. Evra get out!"

There have been reports suggesting the former Manchester United player has been released by the club, although Marseille are yet to confirm this.
