French giants Paris Saint-Germain could reportedly hijack a deal that Manchester City's Pep Guardiola is believed to have lined up.
Reports: PSG Owner Offers Cavani €1m To Let Neymar Take Penalties
The Citizens were close to signing Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal in the August transfer window, but the transfer fell through as the Gunners did not have enough time to find a replacement for the Chilean.
Sanchez's contract with the Gunners expires at the end of the season, which means he will be allowed to join any club for free if he does not sign an extension.
However, according to El Mercurio, French side PSG are ready to hijack Guardiola's attempt to sign him by offering the player a contract with a huge signing-on fee.
The attacker has been linked with Les Parisiens before, and could form a deadly combination with the likes of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani.
