Neymar bagged a brace and an assist on his return to action as Paris Saint-Germain thumped Rennes 4-1 in Ligue 1 on Saturday evening.
The Brazil superstar wasted no time on his return as he broke the deadlock for PSG after just four minutes with a composed finish from close range.
It was 2-0 on 17 minutes, as Neymar turned provider tee up Kylian Mbappe for the simple tap-in from close range, 2-0.
PSG continued to dominate and they nearly bagged a third goal in the 35th minute when Giovani Lo Celso rattled the upright with a curling effort.
Edinson Cavani was presented with a couple chances in the final 10 minutes of the half, but he failed to convert and the visitors went into the break with a two-goal cushion.
Eight minutes into the second half, Rennes managed to reduce the deficit courtesy of a strike from Firmin Mubele.
PSG nearly restored their two-goal cushion in the 72nd minute but Cavani failed to convert Dani Alves' invting cross.
Cavani was not to be denied three minutes later as he bagged PSG's third with a wonderful lob from distance.
A minute later, Neymar grabbed his second and PSG's fourth with another close range finish as the visitors took control of the clash.
Rennes were awarded a penalty in stoppage time when Presnel Kimpembe committed a foul. However, Wahbi Khazri blazed his effort over the crossbar as the score remained 4-1 at the full-time whistle.
