Neymar scored and was then sent off for Paris Saint-Germain as they drew 2-2 with Olympique Marseille in Ligue 1 on Sunday evening.
PSG asserted their dominance in the opening exchanges of the half, but they were unable to find the back of net with Edinson Cavani squandering two chances in the first 14 minutes.
However, it was Marseille who broke the deadlock in the 16th minute when Luis Gustavo sent a fine curling effort past Alphonse Areola from distance, 1-0.
Cavani squandered another chance two minutes later as the Uruguayan managed to fire over the crossbar from close range after being picked out by Layvin Kurzawa.
PSG eventually leveled matters in the 33rd minute as Adrien Rabiot slid the ball back for Neymar, who found the back of the net with a scuffed effort, 1-1.
That proved to be the final bit of goal-mouth action in the half as the sides went into the break level at 1-1.
The second half got off to a slow start as PSG struggled to create openings despite enjoying most of the possession.
The visitors nearly went ahead in the 75th minute, but Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda produced a save to keep out Thiago Silva's header.
Five minutes later, Marseille restored their lead as Florian Thauvin turned home Clinton N'Jie's cross from the right flank.
It got worse for PSG in the 87th minute when Neymar was sent off for picking up his second yellow card of the game.
However, the visitors managed to secure a point in stoppage time when Cavani smashed home a fine free-kick from 25-yards out as the clash ended 2-2.
