Result: Bordeaux 2-2 Paris Saint-Germain
Date: 02 December 2018
Venue: Stade Matmut-Atlantique
Paris Saint-Germain's record-breaking 14-game winning run has finally come to an end after they dropped points at Bordeaux, despite Neymar and Kylian Mbappe getting on the score-sheet.
Fresh from their victory over Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League, Thomas Tuchel's men were looking to maintain their perfect record in the French top flight.
Edinson Cavani had to settle for a spot on the bench as Julian Draxler was drafted into the line-up, while Alphonse Areola came in for Gianluigi Buffon.
Despite enjoying a lion's share of the possession, the Ligue 1 leaders struggled to break the home side's defence, which led to a lack of chances in the opening 20 minutes.
The deadlock was eventually broken in the 34th minute when Dani Alves' cross from the right flank landed at the feet of Neymar, who made no mistake from close range.
It was one-way traffic from then on, with Bordeaux camped in their own half. However, the visitors were unable to add to their advantage before the break.
PSG's winning record was in doubt after Bordeaux levelled matters ten minutes into the second through Jimmy Briand's close range finish.
Mbappe restored the visitors' lead in the 66th minute after a swift counter attack ended with Draxler picking out the Frenchman, who smashed the ball home.
However, Bordeaux managed to secure themselves a point with six minutes remaining in the second half, with Andreas Cornelius finding the back of the net with well-time header.
