Radamel Falcao was on target as Ligue 1 champions AS Monaco began the season with a thrilling 3-2 win over Toulouse on Friday evening.
Kylian Mbappe, who has been linked with Real Madrid, was named in the starting line-up alongside Falcao.
The visitors broke the deadlock after six minutes courtesy of a strike from Zinedine Machach.
After a quiet start, the hosts eventually leveled matters in the 28th minute as Jemerson headed home from close range.
The home side carved out a couple half chances as the first went on but they were unable to take the lead heading into the break.
However, Toulouse restored their lead in the 53rd minute as Andy Delort fired past Danijel Subasic after being picked out by Jimmy Durmaz.
The Champions managed to level matters five minutes later as Falcao headed home Jorge's cross.
Monaco pushed for the go ahead goal and they were rewarded in the 70th minute. Joao Moutinho's free-kick found Kamil Glik, who nodded home from close range.
Leonardo Jardim withdrew Mbappe for the final stages of the second half and introduced Allan Saint-Maximin.
Nevertheless, the score remained 3-2 to the home side, who begin the season with three points.
