Paris Saint-Germain maintained their perfect start to the Ligue 1 season after defeating Olympique Lyon 2-0 on Sunday evening.
Lyon carved out the first chance after eight minutes as Memphis Depay forced PSG goalkeeper Areola into a fine save from close range.
Neymar went close to handing PSG the lead after 16 minutes but his curling effort was turned way by Lopes.
The tempo of the first simmered down after 30 minutes with both sides struggling to carve out chances.
Lopes was called upon once again just before the break, as he produced a fine to keep out Neymar's effort from the edge of the box.
Lyon went agonisingly close to taking the lead after 68 minutes as N'Dombele's long range strike crashed against the crossbar.
PSG eventually broke the deadlock in the 75th minute as Marcelo deflected Edinson Cavani's strike into his own net.
The hosts were awarded a penalty five minutes later when Kylian Mbappe was brought down in the box. Cavani stepped up but had his penalty saved by Lopes.
Unai Emery's charges sealed the win in the 86th minute when Jérémy Morel deflected the ball into his own net, 0-2.
