French Ligue 1
Result: Angers 0-5 Paris Saint-Germain
Date: 04 November 2017
Venue: Stade Raymond-Kopa
Paris Saint-Germain, who were without Neymar, were in a ruthless mood as they thumped Angers 5-0 in a Ligue 1 clash on Saturday evening.
Kylian Mbappé opened the scoring in the fifth minute when he met a cross from the right at the near post and volleyed the ball home.
Nine minutes later, Dani Alves set Julian Draxler up with a fantastic pass and the German chipped the ball into the top left corner of the goal.
In the 30th minute, PSG all but sealed the game. Mbappé burst down the right and teed up Edinson Cavani, who scored the visitors' third.
That was to be the final goal of the half and PSG went in looking as comfortable as ever.
Cavani scored his second in the 60th minute with a powerful shot after having received the ball from Draxler on the right.
Mbappé put the cherry on top in the 84th minute, linking up with Lucas Moura and taking the ball around Michel for the simplest of finishes after receiving the return pass.
It was a resounding display from PSG, who moved seven points clear of second-placed Monaco ahead of the latter's game against Guingamp tonight.
The Parisians sent out a warning to their title rivals that for all the controversy surrounding Neymar off the field, they are one of the most fearsome sides in the world on it.
