The 33-year-old started his team's match at home to Nantes on Sunday, playing just 62 minutes before being substituted after PSG sporting director Leonardo was seen in conversation with manager Pochettino on the sidelines.
As Di Maria made his way off the field, Pochettino escorted the winger down the tunnel, seemingly to break the news to him that his family home had been invaded by intruders in an incident that French publication RMC described as a "very violent" robbery.
It was later confirmed that the footballer's family were present at the time of the home invasion, although details as to what occurred have not yet been revealed.
Following the match, there were also reports stating that defender Marquinhos' parents had also been burgled on Sunday night, adding to a spate of home robberies suffered by PSG players in recent months.
Mauro Icardi's home was said to have been subjected to an invasion in February, while goalkeeper Sergio Rico and former PSG players Thiago Silva and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting also experienced robberies in the past 18 months.
Despite RMC's description of the incident that took place at Di Maria's home, Le Parisien has reported that his family did not hear anything during the burglary, with the robbers stealing contents stored in an upstairs safe.

Di Maria's family were subjected to a similar incident while the Argentine international was on the books of Manchester United in 2015, an event that reportedly led to him making the decision to leave England.
