Dani Alves' potential return to Barcelona is unlikely to happen as LaLiga are reportedly set to block the move.
The Brazilian fullback is a free agent after parting ways with Sao Paulo in September due to an images rights dispute.
The 38-year-old has been linked with a return to the Blaugrana ahead of the January transfer window, after he revealed last month that he would be available to help the club in their crisis.
Even with the Barcelona's well-documented financial issues, they are reportedly looking to secure a move for the former Camp Nou star.
However, Esport 3 has now reported that LaLiga is expected to reject the move for Alves to return to Barcelona as they do not believe the fullback's wage will be just one euro, as per the club's proposal.
Alves enjoyed a trophy-laden first spell with the Catalan outfit between 2008 and 2016, winning three UEFA Champions League and six LaLiga titles, among other pieces of silverware.
