According to The Telegraph, the Ivorian will be offered a whopping £30 million-a-year (R690 million) deal in China.
Toure's agent recently confirmed that his client is unlikely to stay at the Manchester club beyond this campaign after it was announced that Pep Guardiola will take over from current boss Manuel Pellegrini next season.
The report claimed three Chinese clubs are interested in the four-time African Player of the Year, with one of them being Jiangsu Suning, who recently signed Ramires from Chelsea.
It is understood Toure will be offered a £30 million-a-year salary after tax, which means he could pocket £576 923 (R13.25 million) a week. The suggested salary is more than double his current £240 000 (R5.5 million) wage at City.
According to The Telegraph, FC Barcelona's Lionel Messi is the highest paid player in world football, receiving £47.8 million (R1.1 billion) a year, while Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo earns £39.7 million (R912 million) annually.
Gyan Now Highest Paid African Player
Toure's potential new salary would put him ahead of current third-highest earner Neymar, who is paid £26.8 million (R616 million) a year, as well as Africa's highest paid player, Asamoah Gyan.
