Oscar's €60 million (R857 million) move from Chelsea to Shanghai SIPG remains the most expensive deal of the window and it seems it will stay this way until it closes next week.
Julian Draxler and Gabriel Jesus complete the top three, while Goncalo Guedes' €30 million (R428 million) transfer from Benfica to Paris Saint-Germain became the fourth most expensive deal this window.
With the signing of Guedes, who has often been dubbed the "next Cristiano Ronaldo", PSG also became the highest spending club this window, taking their total to €70 million (R1 billion).
Morgan Schneiderlin's €22.9 million (R327 million) move to Everton sits in fifth place, ahead of Chengdong Zhang's record transfer for a domestic player in China worth €20.44 million (R292 million).
Axel Witsel is another star who snubbed playing in Europe for China, and his €20 million (R286 million) move is the seventh most expensive so far.
Leonardo Pavoletti follows in eighth spot, while Onyinye Ndidi is the only African among the top 10 following his €17.6 million (R252 million) transfer to Leicester City.
Depay, meanwhile, entered the ranking in 10th spot following his €16 million move from Manchester United to Olympique Lyon.
