The Red Devils have reportedly been keeping a close eye on Lazio playmaker Felipe Anderson, who is believed to be valued at about £35 million by his Italian club, since the beginning of the season.
According to the Daily Mail, United manager Louis van Gaal is keen to add creativity to his attack, who have come under major criticism this season.
The same report claims that the Old Trafford club also see Southampton's Sadio Mane as another player who could bolster their attack. Saints manager Ronald Koeman has, however, issued several hands-off warnings.
United supporters have become frustrated with the team of late, believing that the players aren't creating enough goalscoring chances, as the side did under Sir Alex Ferguson.
Anderson has played 25 times for Lazio this season, scoring five goals and assisting a further three strikes.
