Reports: Aleksandar Dragovic's Move To Manchester United Imminent

Manchester United are reportedly just "hours away" from signing an international defender for £15.8 million.

Austrian centre back Aleksandar Dragovic's transfer to the Red Devils is likely to take place on Friday, according to Italian news outlet Sport Mediaset.

The 24-year-old Dynamo Kiev defender, capped 43 times for his country, has been linked with United in the past, and the player is now apparently closer than ever to signing for the English giants.

Dragovic joined Kiev in 2013 from Swiss club Basel, with whom he won the Swiss Super League three times.

Manager Louis van Gaal has said United would not be active in the January transfer window, but the Austrian's arrival could see Daley Blind being pushed further up the field – a position more suited to him.

Still relatively young, Dragovic has played 304 senior club matches, and has won eight trophies along the way.
