Chelsea and Liverpool are reportedly at war with one another, as they battle it out to sign a Brazilian striker.
Former AC Milan forward Alexandre Pato looks destined to leave Corinthians in the coming weeks.
The Brazilian has been linked with a host of clubs, but perhaps the two strongest links are with Premier League clubs Chelsea and Liverpool.
It was reported last week that Pato was on the verge of signing for Jürgen Klopp's side, and, although talks seemed to fall through, Liverpool are believed to be on his case once again.
However, according to the Daily Express, Chelsea have agreed terms with the 26-year-old, and are currently negotiating a transfer fee with his current club.
The striker's agent, Gilmar Veloz, has commented on the process.
"The guys are working on getting an offer, but Corinthians are yet to receive one," Veloz told UOL Esporte.
"The January market is very limited."
