Jose Mourinho's Manchester United are reportedly close to announcing their first transfer for the upcoming season.
Reports: Arsenal Set To Sell 5 Stars
According to Portuguese newspaper Record, Benfica defender Victor Lindelof will soon sign a long-term contract with the Red Devils.
It has been reported that terms between the two clubs have been agreed, and that the Sweden international is expected to join the Old Trafford side for about £30 million (R386 million).
The 22-year-old will also apparently receive £5 million (R64 million) in bonuses if he reaches certain targets next season.
The defender has been linked with the likes of Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and EPL newcomers Newcastle United, but it is believed Old Trafford has always been his preferred destination.
The UEFA Europa League champions were linked with Lindelof back in January, but the deal seemed to fall through because Benfica owed the player's former club money.
The Red Devils' scouts have watched Lindelof in action many times this season, and were said to have been left impressed by the Swede.
