Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has been linked with Manchester United and now spoken about his return to football – here the latest update.
The Portuguese made his first public appearance after his sacking in China, supporting a marketing event of his agent Jorge Mendes.
Mourinho first spoke on the future of Chinese football before revealing that he wants to return to the dugout "as soon as possible".
"When you now try to raise Chinese football, I believe you have the best conditions to do it, because you have the economical power on one side and the know-how on the other," he said, as quoted by Globo Esporte.
"I hope to watch your success from my office, when I resume my coaching functions, which I believe that will happen as soon as possible."
Mourinho has been linked with the job at Old Trafford, but it seems the 1-0 victory at Liverpool has taken some pressure of Louis Van Gaal's shoulders.
However, reports in England suggest United remain keen on the outspoken manager but would only appoint him at the end of the season.
