FA Cup Final
Result: Chelsea 1-0 Manchester United
Date: 19 May 2018
Venue: Wembley Stadium
Chelsea secured their eighth FA Cup title after defeating Jose Mourinho's Manchester United 1-0 in the final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.
United's top scorer Romelu Lukaku returned from injury but had to settle for a spot on the bench as Marcus Rashford was handed the start up front.
The game got off to a cagey affair, although Chelsea's Hazard did force David de Gea into a reflex save inside the opening 10 minutes.
The Blues were then awarded a penalty on 20 minutes when Hazard was brought down under the challenge of Phil Jones. The Belgian winger stepped and calmly converted the spot-kick.
The Red Devils looked to hit back straight away but they were restricted to efforts from distance, none of which troubled Blues goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
That proved to be the trend for the rest of the half as the Blues went into the break leading by the one goal.
