UEFA Europa League Last 16, First Leg Date: 7 March 2019 Chelsea, Napoli and Valencia all produced highly impressive performances in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night as they all picked up wins in their Last 16, first leg matches. Read: Insider Reveals Real Madrid Have Asked Zidane To Return Chelsea 3-0 Dynamo Kyiv Chelsea made light work of Dynamo Kyiv with a 3-0 victory at Stamford Bridge. The English side controlled the match from the first whistle and it was only a matter of time before they took the lead, with the opening goal coming in the 17th minute courtesy of Pedro who tucked home a pass from Olivier Giroud, 1-0. Chelsea continued to dictate the flow of play and were unlucky not to find a second goal before the break. Just after the hour mark the home side did double their lead when Willian expertly smashed a 22-yard free-kick into the corner of the goal, 2-0. The icing on the cake for Chelsea was their third goal, scored by Callum Hudson-Odoi in the 90th minute, 3-0. Napoli 3-0 Salzburg Napoli made light work of Salzburg with a highly impressive 3-0 win at the Stadio San Paolo in Naples. The Serie A side got off to a flying start with Arkadiusz Milik breaking through on goal in the tenth minute and he made no mistake in a one-on-one with the keeper, 1-0. Napoli continued to pile on the pressure after going in front and managed to double their lead in the 18th minute when an 18-yard thunderbolt from Fabian Ruiz found the corner of the net, 2-0. Salzburg provided a bit more of challenge in the second half, but the win was taken from their sails on the hour mark when Jerome Junior Onguene headed the ball into his own net to make it 3-0 to Napoli. Valencia 2-1 Krasnodar A blistering opening half and a brace from Rodrigo saw Valencia bag two goals as they beat Krasnodar 2-1 at the Estadio de Mestalla. Krasnodar were no match for the Spanish side who took the lead 12 minutes in when Rodrigo powered the ball home from just outside the box, 1-0. Valencia doubled their lead eight minutes later as Antonio Latorre played Rodrigo through on goal and he made no mistake with just the keeper to beat, 2-0. Valencia seemed to take their foot off the pedal after that which allowed Krasnodar to pull a goal back in the 63rd minute courtesy of a strike from Viktor Claesson, but the Spanish side never looked in danger of losing as the match ended 2-1.
