Manchester United 6-2 AS Roma
Manchester United have one foot in the UEFA Europa League final after trouncing AS Roma 6-2 in the first-leg of their semi-final at Old Trafford.
Man United made three changes from the side that drew with Leeds United, as goalkeeper David De Gea, Paul Pogba and Edinson Cavani were all recalled while Roma's Chris Smalling started against his former side.
Bruno Fernandes gave United the lead in the ninth minute but the hosts were pegged back after Lorenzo Pellegrini found the equaliser for Roma six minutes later from the penalty spot.
Edin Dzeko gave the Italian side a 2-1 lead ten minutes before the break with a tap-in but Cavani levelled matters for the Red Devils three minutes inside the second stanza with a strike into the top corner.
Cavani handed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men the lead in the 64th minute with a close range strike after Aaron Wan Bissaka's effort was saved.
Fernandes made it 4-2 in the 71st minute with a strike into the top corner from the penalty spot to complete his brace, while Paul Pogba and Mason Greenwood completed the rout with the fifth and sixth goals respectively.
Roma will have a mountain to climb in the second-leg next Thursday on home soil at Stadio Olimpico.

Villarreal 2-1 Arsenal
Villarreal gained a slight advantage after a 2-1 win over Arsenal in the semi-final first-leg at Estadio de la Ceramica, with both sides finishing the game with 10 men.
The Gunners made only one change, as Martin Odegaard started ahead of Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette was not in the squad while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang started from the bench, with Nicolas Pepe leading the line.
The hosts had a dream start as Manuel Trigueros gave them the lead in the fifth minute with a low drive inside the box after latching onto a loose ball.
Raul Albiol doubled the lead for the Yellow Submarine on the half-hour mark with a low volley unmarked the back post after a flicked header by Gerald Moreno from a corner.
Arsenal thought they had won a penalty ten minutes before the break after Pepe was brought down inside the box but the spot-kick was reversed by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) for a handball by the Ivorian in the build-up.
Mikel Arteta's troops were reduced to ten men just before the hour-mark after Dani Ceballos got a second booking, but Pepe pulled a goal back for the English side in the last 17 minutes from the penalty spot with a strike through the middle.
Villarreal also finished the game with ten men after Etienne Capoue was given his marching orders on 80 minutes, but Unai Emery's side held on for a 2-1 win ahead of the second-leg in a week's time at the Emirates Stadium.
