While South Africa's Gift Links advanced to the next round of the UEFA Europa League qualifiers, another South African managed to find the back of the net on Thursday night.
FC Ordabasy 1-2 FC Botosani
South Africa's May Mahlangu was on target for FC Ordabasy but couldn't help his side go down 2-1 to FC Botosani and bow out of the UEFA Europa League first round qualifiers on Thursday.
The away side raced in front just before the half-hour mark courtesy of Marcel Holzmann before Mahlangu, who played the whole game put the Kazakhstan side level minutes later.
That was wiped in just a few moments after the visiting side regained the lead and the ultimate winner through Marko Dugandzic to put his side in the second round qualifying stage.

AGF Aarhus 5-2 FC Honka
Bafana Bafana's Gift Links started as AGF Aarhus enjoyed passage to the second-round qualifiers with a 5-2 win over FC Honka.
Frederik Tingager, a penalty and another strike from Patrick Mortensen had Aarhus ahead at halftime, with Patrick Olsen and Soren Tengstedt compounding the visitors woes at the death.
Borjas Martin and Lucas Kaufmann put Honka on target either side of the half, which proved to be a mere consolation at the end.
