After celebrating his second goal in Arsenal's 3-0 win in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night by putting on a special mask, African superstar Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang explained the reason for his new celebration.

The striker scored twice in the Gunner's convincing 3-0 home win over Rennes to help send the London-based club through to the quarter-final stage of the tournament.
Following his second goal, Aubameyang pulled out and put on a mask of Marvel superhero Black Panther, which he has since stated was a dedication to his homeland.

"I needed a mask which represents me," he told BT Sport.
"It's the Black Panther and in Africa, in Gabon, we call the national team the Black Panthers of Gabon... It represents me."
This is not the first time Aubameyang has celebrated in this fashion – he pulled on a Spiderman mask several times after scoring while at previous club Borussia Dortmund.
The Gabon international has now scored 22 goals and assisted a further six strikes in 39 matches for the Gunners this season.
