The Ivory Coast captain, who was outraged after missing out on the 2015 African Player of the Year award, and his wife, Gineba, have been married for 12 years.
Gambling company Fruity King tweeted a picture of Toure and his wife, calling her "bubbly" and suggesting she is not worthy of the Manchester City star.
"Sure she's bubbly but someone needs to remind Yaya Toure he's on £220,000-a-week. Start abusing this privilege."
Other Twitter users labelled the tweet "utterly disgraceful" and claimed "You'll get no business from me".
"What a disgusting and embarrassing attempt at lad humour. Shocking," was another response.
The tweet, posted on Sunday evening, is very similar to one by another betting company in May last year.
Back then, Odds Checker Australia attacked the girlfriend of young Manchester United striker James Wilson, saying: "Sure she's a lovely girl but someone needs to remind James Wilson he's a pro footballer. Start abusing this privilege."
