Virgil van Dijk has reportedly made a decision on Liverpool's latest contract offer after it was rumoured they tabled a new deal earlier this week.

The Dutchman is one of the Reds' three superstar talents whose existing deals expire at the end of the season.
Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold are the other two, and while the former has been vocal about his contract situation at Anfield, Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold have been tight-lipped.
While each of them has approached the final season of their respective deals in different ways, it seems that the six-time European champions want to resolve their futures as soon as possible, and it looks as though the first on their priority list is the 33-year-old centre-back.
Despite his age, the Breda native has proven to be a vital cog in the Liverpool points machine this season.
With Van Dijk in the team, the Merseysiders have only lost one match in all competitions this campaign, as they sit atop both the Premier League and UEFA Champions League standings.
According to The Athletic, the 2019 Ballon d'Or runner-up is the first of the aforementioned trio to have been made an offer to extend. However, it is said to have been rebuffed by him because it falls short of the length and valuation he feels he deserves.

The same report claims that initial offers will be made to Alexander-Arnold and Salah in the coming weeks as Liverpool also look to come to an agreement with their club captain.
