During the off-season transfer window, Saudi Arabian top-flight clubs were reportedly making every effort to recruit the recent Ballon d'Or runner-up.
It is understood that the chiefs in the oil-rich kingdom have been deeply disappointed with Neymar's limited appearances for Al Hilal since his arrival from Paris Saint-Germain.
They now view his international teammate, Vinicius, as the player who could take over as the league's marquee signing.
Despite lucrative offers, the 24-year-old ultimately decided to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu. However, it is believed the Saudis will continue their attempts to lure him to the Gulf region.
He is not the only member of Los Blancos attracting interest from the Middle East. According to Marca, goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has become a major target for the Public Investment Fund.
The Belgian shot-stopper will have one year remaining on his contract when the current campaign concludes.
Consequently, any team interested in signing the Bree native will need to negotiate with Los Merengues. However, the same report claims that the Spanish and European champions are keen to offer him a new deal.

It remains to be seen how receptive the 32-year-old will be to a potential move to Saudi Arabia. However, it is believed that, like Vinicius, Courtois could receive an extremely lucrative offer.
