The 29-year-old is considered Bayern Munich's priority target ahead of the 2023/24 campaign, with club representatives having admitted their interest in the goalscorer.
Kane had been previously linked with Manchester United, but it was claimed the Red Devils had pulled out of the race for his signature due to Spurs' asking price.
Chairman Daniel Levy is believed to have shown no interest in selling the Three Lions skipper, who has less than 12 months on his contract in London.
New Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou has admitted he wants the issue resolved quickly, and it seems a conclusion could be approaching.
According to The Telegraph, the club's majority owner Joe Lewis has informed Levy that he will need to sell Kane if the striker shows no intention of committing to new terms.
Lewis is reportedly unwilling to allow Kane's contract to expire, and would therefore prefer to bring in a significant transfer fee while it is still possible.
