The Chilean is understood to have put pen to paper on a whopping £450 000 (R7.61 million) a week contract that will keep him at the club until June 2022, according to the Daily Mail.
It has been claimed that Sanchez will take home a wage of £350 000 (R5.92 million) over a four and a half years, but the amount rises to £450 000 when his image rights are included.
In so doing, he became United's new top earner by quite some distance, overtaking Paul Pogba, who reportedly sits on £290 000 (R4.91 million) a week.
Romelu Lukaku fills the last spot in the top three with a reported wage of £250 000 (R4.23 million), ahead of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, with £220 000 (R3.72 million), and David de Gea, with £200 000 (R3.38 million), who complete the top five.

Juan Mata and Nemanja Matic are understood to earn £145 000 (R2.45 million) and £140 000 (R2.37 million), respectively, a week, while Marouane Fellaini, Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof follow on £120 000 (R2.03 million) weekly.
