Mikel Arteta's men were able to restore their lead three minutes before the halftime break when Leandro Trossard collected a pass from Timber before cutting onto his left and firing into the bottom corner.
The Gunners continued to dominate in the second half but Palace did provide a good threat on the counter, as Tyrick Mitchell got a lot of joy down the left flank but the forwards were unable to get on the end of his crosses.
Arsenal had the ball in the back of the net after 70 minutes when Gabriel Martinelli turned home a cross from Timber, however the goal was ruled out by Video Assistant Referee (VAR) as the ball had gone out of play before the cross.
Jean-Philippe Mateta was introduced eight minutes later and made the perfect impact by intercepting William Saliba's pass before shrugging off Odegaard and firing into an empty net for his 17th goal of the season.
Liverpool can officially clinch the title with a win or a draw against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday evening.
