Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has responded to reports that Eric Garcia has agreed to join FC Barcelona.
Garcia's current deal with the Citizens expires at the end of 2020/21 season, and Guardiola confirmed last year he won't be extending.
Various reports in Spain claim Garica has already agreed terms with the Catalan giants, but it is unsure if he will move this month or at the end of the campaign.
Guardiola revealed he is not aware of the current situation regarding Garcia, who recently recovered from Covid-19.
"I hope not, but maybe Barcelona knows better than me, I don't know," Guardiola said, as per Goal.
"I don't know what's going to happen, but maybe it's going to happen."
Garcia has only made three appearances in the Premier League this season, with Ruben Dias and John Stones being preferred this season by Guardiola.
The Spanish defender initially joined the Citizens from Barcelona in 2017, but is yet to hold down a regular starting berth in the last three years.
