The win cut Spurs' deficit on the Premier League leaders to just one point, and it was Pochettino's second triumph over his rival manager.
Overall, the Argentine has played Guardiola 10 times, winning his only contest as Spurs coach, while beating Pep just once as manager of Espanyol, losing five times and drawing thrice.
