Arsenal have confirmed their first signing for the 2022/2023 season, with the arrival of Brazilian striker Marquinhos.

The Gunners recently parted ways with striker Alexander Lacazette on a free transfer, but the club have already bolstered their attack by signing the 19-year-old.
The Brazilian foward joins the Gunners from Sao Paulo, where he made a total of 33 appearances for the first team.

"We're delighted to have completed the transfer with Sao Paulo, as Marquinhos was a player we had been watching for a while," Technical director Edu said, as per the club's official website.
"At 19, he is still very young, so he is a player for the future. We look forward to Marquinhos now joining us for pre-season, making his new home, and continuing to grow and develop with us."
