The player Newcastle United signed for €64 million (R1.2 billion) at the start of the season is reportedly set to be banned from football for 10 months.

Italy international Sandro Tonali has been questioned by authorities for his alleged involvement in illegal betting, activity he is believed to have partaken in during his time at AC Milan in Italy.
The midfielder, along with his compatriot Nicolo Zaniolo, left Italy's training camp during the recent international break after being investigated by police.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Newcastle player, who joined the club in the most recent transfer window, will be handed a 10-month suspension from football.

Tonali is also expected to undergo rehabilitation for a gambling addiction, similar to Juventus midfielder Nicolo Fagioli, who has been officially banned for seven months.
